I made the same configuration on a colleague’s machine with less memory than my laptop, and it works on his.
I’ve already tried configuring it this way, and it still doesn’t work.
It doesn’t even run a simple Hello World.
I switched machines, and the problem was solved. Life goes on.

Thanks for the update - glad to hear it worked out. There was a similar issue reported today - did link this thread so the KNIME Team can consider both. If this issue can still be reproduced I’m sure any logs are much appreciated to better analyze the potential cause.
