Vote for the KNIME Pole Star

Dear Community,

It’s time to celebrate and recognize the most helpful contributors to our forum in 2024! Last year, we introduced an award where YOU decide who deserves the title of “KNIME Pole Star”—an honor for the guiding lights of our community.

The KNIME Pole Star title, first awarded in 2024 to @mlauber71, recognizes those who provide outstanding solutions, share knowledge, and consistently help others. This year, it’s your chance to decide who will earn the title and lead the KNIME Stars Association in 2025!

This year, voting will be open to the top 10 solution providers from the past year, as determined by forum activity.

Voting Details:

  • Voting closes on Monday, the 13th of January, at 12:00 PM.
  • Cast your vote by selecting up to 3 names from the poll below.

Let’s show our appreciation for those who have made our community an even better place this year. Happy voting!

@takbb congrats - more than well deserved. I consider myself quite well-versed in using Knime by now, but there are always responses / solutions / ideas you provide that make me question whether I know anything at all

Many thanks to those who voted.

I am honoured, but I still take my hat off to previous Pole Star @mlauber71 whose breadth and depth of knowledge appears to know no bounds. Also to fellow “podium member” @MartinDDDD who I know has been a member of the forum since the beginning of 2022, but is clearly the current rising star in terms of solution-providing, and along with @mlauber71 has provided over 100 solutions in the past 12 months. I wouldn’t be surprised to see you as the next “Pole Star”, Martin!

Thanks for the kind comments @MartinDDDD and @rfeigel. There are solutions that the two of you provide which are most definitely outside of my own knowledge, I can assure you. I have said before that none of us knows everything, and I am always learning from you and others here.

Congrats to all who appeared on the “Pole Star” shortlist, and thank you to everybody who takes time out of their busy lives to help others here, regardless of whether your efforts have been rewarded with a “solution tick” or not. You have not gone unnoticed, and you are all KNIME heroes.
