Dont Save Start at beginning of Workflow

In Oct 2019 @mwiegand asked about using the Don’t Save Start Node as the first in a workflow. He noted that this was only currently possible with workarounds. I was wondering if anyone could explain what those workarounds are.

Don't save start / end nodes for variable connection

HI, I try to optimize the workflows and their resource consumption as often as possible. Using the don’t save start / end notes becomes very handy when I am only interested in the result. However, using the don’t save start / end nodes in conjunction with nodes that do not have an incoming data port, like the file reader nodes, is only possible with workarounds. I’d like to suggest to extend the don’t save start / end nodes with variable ports, though. Kind regards Mike

I’d assume this workaround looked something like this:

Everything after the Table Row to Variable Node should not be saved to disc.
