Updated to Knime 4.5.1 and now the KNIME Spatial Processing Nodes no longer work. Both the “Read from Shapefile” and “View Geometries as Map” fail with a NullPointerException. Of course, this comes at the worst possible time. I’m using the “KNIME Spatial Processing Nodes” extension. After doing an update to Knime 4.4.1, the “Shapefile reader” node no longer works – it says ‘Execute failed: (“NullPointerException”): null’ when given (previously-working) shapefiles to read. I have tried both downgrading to 4.4.0 and reinstalling 4.4.1 – but I get the same result.
